Wonderful la Réunion
La Réunion is a beautiful island in the Indian Ocean. It enchants with its coastline as well as its interior. I have tried to capture some of the places that particularly impressed me on canvas. Especially with the pictures that are painted with acrylic ink, I was not primarily interested in a realistic representation but in the mood of the respective place.
Cap Méchant I
The "evil cape" is an impressive motif that is incredible fun to paint. The painting was made with acrylic paint on canvas. Dimensions: 30 x 70 cm
Favourite places
The six pictures in this series were first created wet on wet with acrylic paint and ink. Then the accents and contours were set with acrylic ink. The size of each picture is 40x40cm.
On the promenade of St. Leu
Even if there is no weekly market, the promenade is a nice place to look at the sea, watch surfers and eat crépes. Acrylic paint on canvas, dimensions: 20 x 50 cm
The left wave of St. Leu
The Left Wave of St. Leu is something very special. Both pictures are primarily painted with acrylic ink on canvas.
Dimensions: upper picture 20 x 50 cm, lower picture 40 x 80 c
Cirque de Cilaos II
The Cirque de Cilaos is a paradise for hiking and shows a completely different face of the island than the coast.
Acrylic inks on canvas, dimensions: 40 x 60 cm
Piton des Neiges
Piton des Neiges presents itself in the clouds rather than covered with snow. From the Maido you have a beautiful view of the highest mountain of la Réunion. Acrylic paint on canvas, dimensions: 40 x 50 cm
Sunset
Almost every evening, the sunset in the bay of St. Leu offers a spectacle of magnificent colours.
Acrylic paint and ink on canvas, dimensions: 30 x 40 cm
Breakfast
With a bit of luck, you can observe chameleons on the island not only in the botanical garden. Acrylic ink on canvas, dimensions: 30 x 40 cm
Piton de la Fournaise II
The active volcano Piton de la Fournaise is equally suitable as a motif and for hiking. Acrylic paint on canvas, dimensions 30 x 30 cm
Precious moments
This series is entirely painted with acrylic inks on watercolour paper. The format of each picture is 32 x 24 cm.
